coolant leak from rear thermostat housing bolt - help
I've had this slight leak from the thermostat - really only a few drops but frustrating. I tried to fix it 3-4 times using a gasket, then a gasket with blue RV compound. The last time it stayed dry for about a week then began to leak. It appears that the antifreeze is coming up from the rear bolt as this is where the coolant seeps from and when I took off the thermostat today there was a collection of coolant down in the bolt hole. I redid it again today coating the bolt with black RTV sealant and hope it's fixed but have my doubts. Is there a crack in the intake maniflod or what? What do I have to do to fix it and will it get worse? Thanks in advance.

As you well know by now, the rear bolt is the hardest to secure!
I had similar problem and switched to Stainless Steel Allen head bolts. Make especially sure that you have removed all the old gasket from the manifold and the thermo housing.
