Re: c4 suspension (richloduca)
not much. the big changes came in 88.
after a couple of years of showroom stock, they redid the suspension in the street cars to take advantage of racetrack development.
The 88 suspension is more predictable and less nervous. There is also more braking and wheel options available for the 88 and later.

Re: c4 suspension (richloduca)
You should get alot of people chiming in on this subject. The changes are not major between '84-'87. The '84 RPO Z51 package was probably the stoutest suspension. Close ratio rack & pinion (sport) high spring rate in the transverse spring, large dia sway bars, heavy duty shocks, bushings, engine oil coller, extra fan, (pusher) and some wheel changes.
Hope that gets you started.

Springs were the major change, the geometry of everything is the same, all parts fit to my knowledge.

Re: c4 suspension (CentralCoaster)
I thought the suspension was mostly the same between spindles, just with different springs. The 88 had a new brake setup which results in the new wheel offset.
the spindles are different too, but i forgot to eyeball if the kingpin and/or steering knuckle looked different.

Re: c4 suspension (richloduca)
what is the difference between an 84 suspension and an 87? i'm converting my 64
There's a Hib Halverson suspension chart on the internet detailing the suspension systems for all C4's and the options that came with or where available.
I'll try to get the address and be right back
:D I am back, it's
http://vettenet.org/susp_chart.html
You will see some big changes after '84
