the OD unit takes normal trans fluid, I cant quite remember what the trans takes, I know its gear oil I just cant remember the #. If you have a Haynes manual its listed in there

I changed the lube in mine last summer. Switching to synthetics was highly recomended on the forum. I used mobil synthetic gear lube in the gear box along with a bottle of posi additive. For the O.D. I dont remember the brand but I used a synthetic trans fluid as well. The O.D. doesnt hold much fluid. Your 4+3 O.D. fluid should be changed every 10K or once a year.

so Paul G how about the u joints?Should I change all of them or just the drive shaft. I`m feeling slight vibration at about 70mph and also at quik load(clutch pop).I was wondering if they need to be replaced along with half shafts. This car is my dream, come true so whatever i need i will get (budget allowing of course) thanks :)

I cant say to definately change them but it would not be a bad idea to drop the drive shaft and check them. If you need new ones on the drive shaft I would change them all. Most people complain of hearing a clicking noise from the rear when a half shaft U-joint is going bad. Vibration at speed could also and more likely be tire balance.

ok that sounds familiar cause i am hearing a clicking at the rear when i pull off, so maybe the half shafts are giving me a warning, anyhow i got a long weekend so i think i`ll put it up on jack stands and check all that out. only had it 2 weeks so i`m still super excited .thanks alot for the advise. The OD takes ~1.75 quarts of ATF, and the gearbox takes about a quart of gearoil.

Get two quarts of each, and you should be covered. :yesnod:
Alos, 75w90 or 80w90 will suffice for the gearbox.
