Rear Tire wear uneven
I am checking out a 96 convert to buy and noticed that the left rear is worn more than the right rear. The wear on each tire is even across the tread, so I am wondering if this is normal? The seller said he replaced the rear tires at the same time and can not explain the uneven wear. Does more power go to the left than the right normally causing this wear. This convert has 35K miles.

Best case, needs alignment. Worst case, something is worn or bent but with only 35K I don't think something could be worn enough to cause excessive wear. On non-limited slip differentials the right wheel is the one that will usually show more wear. Ask the seller when was the last time they had a complete alignment done.

You might check the air pressure in the rear tires for a variance. Granted, the pressure should be the same, as they were replaced at the same time. Simple place to start.......
