Get a Helms manual.... http://www.helminc.com.
A couple of years ago, Corvette Fever did a story that is required reading. I think someone has scanned it in. Feb 01 issue.
I have done the job, and it is not that hard, really. Just time consuming.
Get a new part. The remans are junk.
Check with Chris at Superior Chevy in Kansas. They have great deals for Forum members. I don't have the number on me.... sorry... :(

Don't buy reman's they suck.
You can contact Superior, but there was one guy a little bit ago who found it for 280something. $337 should be Superior's price.

Check out our TOOLS>TECH TIPS>C4>look for opti stuff. You got to have a Helms Service Manual! If that doesn't help try this: https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...=231&TopicID=2
It explains how to install a Meziere pump, but also may help with your opti job.

All good info here, and by the way, welcome to the
Shop around for the OPTI, the price really bounces alot.
Don't buy a remanufactured one, you'll probably be doing the repair sooner than you want to if you do........
Good luck.
EDIT: You'd think that being a Corvette owner, I would have learned how to spell the word BUY by now, mmmmmmmmmm

It's the fumes from the waxes and cleaners that fogs a Vette owners mind. :skep: So don't feel bad about----I forgot my point. :(
