where is the TCC?
where is the TCC switch and how can i access it to uplug it (to run diagnostic tests outlined in helms).

the helsm manual refers to unplugging the TCC Switch.. its an electric switch that the ECM connects to to tell the Torque converter to engage to direct (non-slip) mode..

Looking in the FSM all I see are the following external electronic controls:
Cruise Control Release switch
PCM
TPS
VSS
MAP
ECT
Hopefully you already found what you need. If not then HTH.

Once again, a year model would do wonders for those that would like to help you. The TCC is ECM controlled on my 1984. There is no switch to engagege TCC. The plug on the outside of the transmission leads to the engage solenoid inside the trans. The only switch I am aware of for TCC control, is the switch incorporated into the brake light switch, that disengages the TCC when you step on the brakes. I hope this is of some help.
