Default SLP Claw

Just got my new SLP intake and I love it. While I dont think it will do much for HP, I think it realy looks a lot better then the stock air box. I was surprized how well built it was and how easy it was to install. It only took me about 15 min. to do the whole job. Got to love e-bay got it for $190 new still in the SLP box unopened.

Hey tell me something... I REALLY like the looks of that, but is there a chance of that taking water in if caught in a heavy rain???

I wonder if you'd pick up some few hp by cutting a small rectangualr hole in the fan shroud where the 3 air filters are - thus making it a 'true' cold air induction

they dont sit any lower then the stock filter so I would think if rain was going to cause a problem with them it would cause the same problem with the stock filter because when the motor is running that is quite a vacume.

True, but, the stock filter housing is sealed off quite a bit more - if you call those tiny restrictive fins to be sealed... I'm running a K&N Open lid setup anyways, so I'm not worried about too much rain getting in

That's a really  setup!!

I dont realy want to cut up my stock shroud, thats why I didn't go with the cold air induction set up. Besides I have a better plan to pick up a couple extra ponies:D , Installing my fresh 95 motor W/ ported heads and intake, LT4 hotcam, 1.6 LT4 R/Rs, hooker supercomp's, and a Meizer W/P. I hope once this combo is tuned to be around 350-360 RWHP
