i love my B&M ripper alot, but the rattle gets annoying. anybody know how to stop it? thanks in advance

My Hurst doesn't rattle at all. Could it be a install problem? just ask'n...

I know the problem, I love the shifter too. I just drive around with the top off all the time. Can't hear the rattle for the wind noise... However, I understand the problem is not the shifter, but the stock shift ****... That goofy retainer. I've tried all manner wrapping and packing it with no success. I'm going to change the ****, I'll let you know if it's a success.
