Did you catch they are using the same heads ski and cork are using on their 434 buildup? M2 CNC's. I think they said 330cfm? The cam specs were secret, but it was a solid roller. 675hp. very nice. :smash:

I just checked their site. They list using the 227 AFRs...but it would not surprise me if they switched over to the brodix units. :yesnod:

Cam were probably very close to what I will be running. But the compression is up at 14:1. So they are squeezing it pretty tight to get that sorta power.

We should be crankin this year with that many ponies pullin :cool: :cheers:

The green grass makes a great contrast behind the car, but you should tighten the shot up and really fill the frame with your car! Photoshop will do that for ya', too...

couple more comments from the show...

raised cam block, raised deck, definately 472".
compression 10.75
6.1XX" or 6.2XX" rods
supposedly a street engine, they did mention 6500 redline and pump gas

the config is not on their site, its the "big dawg" comming soon deal
it was definately the Brodix M2 227's. they said either 303cfm or 330+, can't quite remember.

I did not catch the show. Was just assuming that he meant 427", sounds like something pretty exotic, and ALOT of grinding of the block to get done :eek:

I was amazed too. This is the first 472" small block i've heard of. I've seen some 454" or so. They showed the block and the clearencing at the bottom of the cylinder was not major. It looked no different from some 383/420 pics i've seen. Of course, it's kinda hard to tell just from the TV show.

I guess the 9.3" deck height and raised camshaft location allowed them to keep the machining to a minimum. (dart block) the oil pump was a regular sbc, but the shaft was longer b/c of the camshaft placement. Standard distributor was used. (MSD billet)

They used a dart single plane intake w/ a 1050cfm carb. I recall it being a Holly unit.

That must be one hell of a block. Working backwards from a 4.25" stroke, I come up with a bore of about 4.20". Aren't the bore centers on a sbc, 4.40"? That leaves .200" of siamesed cylinder wall.

wouldn't a raised deck block cause inteferance between the rocker cover and firewall accessories? seems pretty tight with a std deck!

4.200 bore and a 4.250 stroke and yes that leaves you with .200 left this block is throwaway after this buildup with never being able to take another overbore
they said they used a 6.1 rod but i would guess it was a 6.125 rod instead which gives yoy rod stroke ratio of 1.43-1.44 very sharp about equivalent of a 5.7 rod with a 4 inch stroke
and most guys on here question 5.7 rods on a 3.75 stroke kind of makes you think
and they were useing the same m2 track1 heads me ski and joe90 are useing on are stroker motors and we had them picked out 6 months prior
the one thing i thought was very interesting if you go to his site he runs afr exclsively on all of his hipo small block stuff up till now it kind of makes you think doesnt it :cheers:

imagine trying to run a shop and one of your suppliers says 6 month delivery and then you get a set full of air holes like the one recently shown on the forum. it wouldn't take me long to shop for alternatives. :cheers:
