Are Accel Fuel-Injectors any good? They seem to be the most affordable ($240 - $390) for set of 8.

I may need New fuel Injectors for my '85. Searching parts catalogs, Mid-America and Eckler's want $600 to $800 for a set of eight, yet Summit Racing/Jeg's sells Accel Fuel-Injectors for $240 for a set of Eight 30-Lb Injectors.

Remember that your 85 came with Bosch 24 lb injectors. The FMS are rated at a lower pressure so that FMS 22 lbs should do the trick! :seeya

Thanks for the replies/suggestions.

Is More better (22 vs. 24 vs. 30 vs 36 Lb Injectors), performance-wise that is?

I have the accels in my 85, had them a year now. No problems, and Rich at cruzin performance, a shop that reconditions injectors, has said they are a quality injector. Yet, they have a bad rap here. I know of at least 2 other forum members that have the 24#, and we haven't had a problem yet (with no reason to anticipate trouble). :seeya Oh yeah, check Jegs or summit - they are cheaper there

I also have the FMS injectors on my car. They seem to work fine and you can get them on Ebay for $150.

I've been running the Accel #24 injectors with a AFPR for 17,000 miles without any problems so far.

I ran the accel's for about 15k miles and had no problems until a week ago or so when one failed. Almost everyone talked about how bad the accel's were and I always said I never had any issues with them till now.

I would never buy the accel ones ever again. The way to go seems to be the Ford ones. I have a set on their way and will go in this weekend.
