Default Speed-O-Motive

I think I am going to build a stroker and am looking a speed-o-motive 383 short block. The price is exelent and the parts look good the only thing I would add would be the JE pistons (I would get a set for 10.5:1) and the rods to the forged I beams. Has any one used these guys before and if so, how are they? I am also up for using some one else but I would like to stay under $3000 for the short block. I am going to use TEA for the heads and a CC 305 or 306 and feel this should be just about what I need if not there is always N02. :D

Heard very bad things from SOM. You get what you pay for.

What's the price and what are you getting for your $?

Are you getting a spec sheet with all the critical dimensions and clearances?
