Default Lifters installation

Every lifter has a little hole on one side.

Is it important on what side this hole is when installing lifters?

Thats a good question! Good news, if it matters, most of us don't notice the difference  :lurk:

It doesn't matter. The lifters turn in the bore anyway. If you look at the lifter base you'll see tale-tell signs; concentric circles.

I hope mine don't. That would be a bad thing on a roller cam.

Yep, I agree.

I assumed he was talking about flat tappet lifter; that's what I get for doing that. Won't I ever learn!?
