What kind of O2 sensor (Delco.Bosch, did you use when you went to long tube
I am probably going to be converting to heated O2 sensors on my TPIS LT headers. I have a 93 LT1 vette that originally had single wire O2 sensors.
Due to poor fuel economy (11-12 city MPG) I am going to try heated O2 sensors. I have the hot cam, Ed wright fast chip, LT headers, and stock ZF6 gearing.
I wanted to ask those who ahve done it....How did you extend the sensor wire? Did you use some type of harness?
Also who makes the heated O2 sensor you used....I heard someone say once that the Delco sensors were better than the Bosch sensor. There might not be much sense in that though, maybe Bosch makes the Delco sensors....They also might have been talking about Bosch single wire sensors vs. Delco single wire sensors.
The heated Bosch O2 sensor part number is 300-162 at 68.75 for ONE.
Thats a lotta money IMHO. THis is from TPIS.
Please share with me what and where you got your heated O2 sensors for use with LT headers on an LT-1.....

Do you have the coated headers? I'm using a single wire with mine, no problems with stock engine

Being running that for about 1 year now. Just replaced mine with a stock one at 100,000 miles.

Yes I do. There is no problem with the car going into closed loop. The problem is the O2 sensor readings dont fluctuate between hi and low mV very fast until the car is warmed up.
My friends 95 LT1 with heated O2 sensors gives readings that fluctuate very fast between hi and low.
I wouldnt be worried about this if it wasnt for the fact I consistently get 12 MPG in the city.
Im curious, what MPG do YOU get in the city consistently? Do you have a hot cam'd LT1 with ed wright fast chip?

I use a 3-wire O2 from a late-model S10...
Can't give you a P/N off the top of my head, but they should be able to help you at any parts house.
Got mine from Chevy...

What brand of O2 sensor should I go with?
TPiS quotes a Bosch heated O2 sensor p/n: 300-162
At a whopping $68.75 a piece.
I heard someone on here say the Delco O2 sensors are better for our cars (these were in reference to single wire types).
However, it wouldnt surprise me if there was much merit to that statement because maybe Bosch makes them for Delco.....

Re: What kind of O2 sensor (Bluevette85)
Bluevette85 hit it on the head. You can get these at your GM dealerships as well as some good local parts stores. American Motorsports sells them here in Orlando for $45 I think. They can be had on-line for $38 or so.

I have fully coated long tubes, and for my L98 I had the o2 sensor relocated to the passenger side collector in the 11:00 position. Its a 3-wire heated Bosch unit. I got it at Autozone for about $45 (can't remember exactly).

Next question.... Did you have to somehow extend your wires or was the wiring on the new heated O2 sensor long enough.
Im talking about only the sensor wire. I figure it wont matter if I splice/whatever the heater wires.

Re: What kind of O2 sensor (dizwiz24)
I made a connector with Weatherpak connectors from Napa and plugged into the stock O2 wire. I used the fuel pump relay for 12 volts.
