Default 1990 BCM Repair

Anyone ever replaced a their body control module on a 1990 or later year model and moved the eprom from the old to the new BCM? I have been told the mileage data for the car is stored on the EEPROM on the BCM and want to transfer the data from the old BCM that has a defective VATS system to the new one. I tried to have the dealer program in the mileage, but had driven the car over 100 miles since installing the new BCM and have come to learn that after 100 miles any new BCM locks out a mileage programming change to prevent mileage tampering.

I could also use a contact anyone may have for a remanufacturer that can fix my broken BCM as well. Any info would be appreciated.

Jeff
