heater core leak
I'm getting steam form the vent on the dash, but no water on the floor I think it's the heater core, I think it's a small leak. The question should I try bars leak or replace heater core....Need help with this one I'v been told that bars leak can clog up uther things what do you guys think....

I've never had any luck with that stuff. Have you checked your engine compartment where the hose to the heater are? I'd make sure it was the heater core b4 attempting that-I've heard it's one nasty job.

I used Alumiseal, or whatever that silver powder is. I was out of town at a 4 day race, and needed a cure, NOW! You can short circuit the heater out of the water flow by connecting the two hoses together, but regardless, you are only prolonging the inevitable.
