Default Fuel gauge question

88 coupe. Is the sending unit part of the fuel pump or seperate. Gauge sticks on full at times.

Indeed the level sensor is part of the pump assembly.

You can pull the assembly from the tank and clean the sensor slide wire as well as the three brass contacts just under the assembly mounting flange.

I've got a '86 sending unit. Let me know if you need one.

Default The sending unit....

The sending unit, if stuck, can be repaired and there is a post here somewhere. Good luck.
