1990 ZR1 for sale in Vegas 10K Miles
There's a 1990 ZR1 for sale here in Vegas with 10K miles, the owner wants $41K for it. He says it's in exceptional shape, but I agree with Bogus, I'd rather have one that has been driven.... What do you think of the price?

I like that price very much. Hope he gets it. I have a 90 black on black, completely stock untouched, 16K miles in excellent shape, I would not take less then $28K.
From what I see, if the 90's are in the 1K to 4K mile range, then the $40K comes into play. If it is yellow and low miles, $40 does not seem to be a problem.
My neighbor JT has a 90 with 1044 miles on it. We trailered it from Sarasota when it had only 844 miles on it, and it runs excellent.
His price to sell if he does: $45K, then he would have to think about it.
Go to the: www.ZR1Registry.com Take a look at the ZR1's for sale and the pricing. There are many out there still in the wrapper, and looking at this forum, the membership of the ZR1 Registry, plus counting what is for sale in the marketplace, you can see there are not that many ZR-1's exposed. Where are they?

1. The old C5 Z06 cars featured net HP levels no higher than the ZR1. This made it easier for a ZR1 owner to at least justify roughly comparable values to the newer series. With the new 505HP Z06s, I expect to see a significant drop in all existing Z06/ZR1 prices.
2. The pricing for the later versus earlier ZR1s is also a factor. I personally prefer the look of the 94 & 95s (and the supposed added refinement of the later 405HP cars), yet is there really a significant enough difference between the early and late cars to justify a nearly doubling in price that I see (like at the ZR1 net sales page). The 63-67 Sting Rays may have the most action around the 67s, but comparably equipped 66s aren't that different a car and while they used to be significantly less expensive than 67s, that is no longer the case. Could it be the same with the early and late ZR1s?
3. Do low mileage cars really mean a better value to the buyer. I don't believe so. while they may be interesting artifacts to the NCRS types, more often than not they have huge problems when an owner suddenly decides to start driving the things. I've seen 78 Pace cars needing nearly complete rebuilds because they've been stored with "zero" miles on them with the (in vain) hope of making a killing on the car. Therefore, if the car has less than 500 miles per year on it, it's probably not worth it. You'll pay more to pry it out of the previous owner's hands and then pay another small fortune getting it back to driving condition - and isn't that what these things are for?
I guess my preference would be to look for a later car with mileage in the mid/low teens that would be available for something in the mid-30s.

They only made 448 for each year from 93 - 95. They made over 3000 in 90, and over 2000 in 91, so you are also paying for a little more exclusivity as well.

The big thing I see is LT1 cars are trading hands at the prices I see some ZR1s sell for and that is sickening to me
I dont see them going any lower if they do Im going to keep on buying them

RE ZR-1 / Z-06 pricing
I've been watching the ZR-1 and the Z-06 prices and it seems that the 375 HP ZR-1s are about 10K less than the Z-06. I talked a friend of mine into getting a Corvette (02 Z-06, 45k) for around 30k. My thoughts are that I could pick up a Z-06 engine for 6K and stuff it in my 84 for maybe another grand and have a real sleeper.

An auction just finished on E-Bay for a blk/blk
1990 ZR1, 11K miles. Is this the one RIISITAS is talking about?
It is a Vegas car. It bid up to $25,100, and did not meet the reserve.
I still think that private sales will bring the best money, if someone knows your car and how you have taken care of it.
Does anyone think that $25K was a good price for a 11K mile ZR1?
