Default May Be Time to make the move over to ZR-1 Net Registry Forum

Any thoughts on all of us moving over to the ZR1 Net Registry Forum for our ZR-1 discussions? We are a pretty small group anyways...

Well, seems to me we tried this last year and it didn't stick. If we're gonna move, let's do it; I'm sick and tired of bouncing around between this Forum, the Registry forum and the listserv. For me, it gets to the point where I can't devote enough time to post much, as there are too many places to go, so I end up lurking most of the time.

I posted about a c6 z06 I had read about on a local forum that was at a dealership and I thought others may be interested, that they could pm me for the info. It was not locked, but taken off completely since it was not a supporting dealer even though nothing was said about who it was and that I would give them info privately

I don't understand what you're not free to do? This forum is HUGE. If you want to go OT, there's a special place. Hell, there's specific areas for just about anything. I look at the regional stuff and almost all the C4 pages quite a bit.
Leave if you want, I really enjoy CF.

Everybody should watch what happens here these pnw people are powerful.... go to the regional section and see how they got Troy to give them there own section which they drug HI and AK into a vast area of postmortem....what 50% of the posts have 0 replys. I think well of the other forms because they state there policy up front and stick to them ...no tail wag the dog shiet.

I gave you guys all the freedom in the world, some just took advantage and did anything they wanted.

Troy put rules and guidelines on the entire forum. There isn't any special section for any special people. There are just sections that don't get heavily moderated.

Remember, the ZR1 section was the first section on the forum dedicated to just one car. Once the Z06 guys saw what happened, they demanded their own section. They failed to realize that the ZR1 is a C4 but much more, where a Z06 is just a C5 with a slightly different engine.

I've been more than fair to everyone here except those who deserved to get what they got(and I've only banned one guy that I can recall and that was like two years ago).

If you don't like it here, just leave, nobody is forcing anyone to stay.
If you have a problem with the guidelines, you know who to talk to(and it isn't me).

My interest in the zr1 came from my love of corvettes and my exposure to the zr1 on the corvette forum. I'll always own a zr1, and I am a member of the registry, but I gotta tell you, if not for this forum I wouldn't have bought mine or been exposed to any of you great folks. I just can't find anything bad to say about this forum or the moderators,I think they do a great job, have a good place and I for one appreciate all that is available here. For what its worth, thanks to all of the folks who have set this up and take the trouble to operate it for all of our benefit. If you move to the registry I'm coming quietly along but not because this is a bad place. Just my beater driving two cents worth,

As long as time allows, I'm going to try to spend time on both sites.

FWIW:

I'd have a hard time choosing one forum over the other.
I lurk on both on pretty much a daily basis...

My only complaint with the ZR1 NRF is that some times it is DOG slow. I know it's not from my end, I've got broadband at home and Business DSL at my Lab. There are days that it's so slow that it makes it painful to try to see if there's any new posts.

My biggest gripe here with the CF is that there's a small sub-set of the general population who are not, shall we say, P.C.?
Things get out of hand at times, some threads get downright UGLY.
Anyone who follows this forum knows exactly what I'm referring to.
We're undoubtably all Type A personality type people, we wouldn't be driving 'Vettes if we weren't.
Must we continue to prove to ourselves and others that the stereotype is accurate?
