Thanks for doing this... It is a PITA to bring up another window and then cut/paste the # in the search window of ebay. It makes it a lot easier to simply "click".

I wasn't criticizing your post. You're probably correct @ $49,999. I was looking for a big block 1965 or 1966 Coupe for two years before I purchased the 93 Z. The price more than doubled in that time frame. Took me out of that market fast. Now the 1965 and 66 small blocks are in the $40-50,000 range.

Just doesn't seem right that these Z's are selling so cheap. Once you own one you realize how special these cars are. It's just a matter of time before others do to.

IMHO.

I totally agree.
At least this way the post does not get deleted right away by the admins.

Wonder if it was stored on jackstands, look at the gaps on the body/tires, as if the suspension hasnt settled. Gorgeous car, but IMO garage art, thats it. Is be too tempted to drive the heck out of it.

Ditto on the mudflaps, why drill holes in the body so the flaps can protect a body with holes drilled in it.

Demps was just as nice, somewhere around $15k less and you could drive it (30k miles if I remember right).

That is the exact condition my car was 12 years ago. Now it does have a little used look, after 25K miles. And no, I don't regret my choices.

Purple is not my color anyway. I've seen them in person and they don't really grab you like Torch Red.

I wouldn't have the heart to put miles on that one.

IMHO its the Supply side of the market.

I think a car like this one is the major factor why ZR-1 values remain flat.

Unlike most big-block mid year cars that were driven hard over the years - - thus needing to be restored (BIG Bucks to invest) or having been restored (BIG Bucks to buy) - - the ZR-1 world is full of low-mile/in the wrapper/NCRS Top-Flight ready examples.

This car along with maybe hundreds of ZR-1s just like it, was purchased to sit and not to drive. That makes for a large supply of prime cars being available to a small collector market.

Good news is that keeps the ZR-1 within the reach of those of us who would rather them!

You guys are missing the point! This is a 95 corvette and the bidding is already over 40K U.S.!! That shows that this car, even though old, and less powerful than a lot of newer choices on the market, is commanding a pretty penny. You won't get 40K for a modded C5 Z06 let alone a bone stock one. And in about 5 years, you won't get that much for a C6 Z06. The ZR-1 is already holding its own.

The market isn't really that flat. The right cars sell. The low mileage 405hp cars never really have a problem selling. These cars have been selling for the same amount of money or with in $3,000 to $5,000 for the past 5 to 7 years. I can't say that about too many late model cars. They did go flat about 2 to 3 years ago but not for that long and I still never had problems bringing the money out of nice low mile, no paint work, perfect peices. Now yes cars that had been modded to death, 30,000+ miles and accidents, etc. Those will stay on the market like anything will. In comparison to the old Big Blocks of the 60's the ZR-1 production #'s are way low. I see nothing but good things in the next 5 to 7 years. The market has already turned around on 405hp cars in the last 1 1/2.
