This is a former TT motor - the mount on the cam cover is to hold one of the twins!

????
That is a flat-plane crank motor from the Lotus GT1 program. I think that is the one DRM freshened up, as was posted here a couple of months back.

I thought the cam cover mount was to run the motor semi-stressed in the GT1 chassis. Those were the load points, where the engine was attached to the chassis. I have other pics which show it a little better.

Does anyone know what displacement DRM used when they converted from Flat to 90 degree conventional crank? With 659 hp, I would guess 385 cid? That would be one incredible 368. The original spec was de-stroked 366 cid.

Fair enough - that makes sense. That same mount was used to hang twins on their experimental motors while developing the TT version of the motor. THat is cool that the motor can serve as a structural member!
