Any clearance issues on the inside, with the extra half inch? Do you have a project thread or similar on the car here on the forum?
The only rub issue was a very small part of the right rear liner that was trimmed down. I wanted a 12 on the rear but I couldn't get a figment guarantee from HRE so I went as wide as was suggested even though I knew a 12 would work, there's a few ZR-1s with a 13 on the rear. I don't have any build, repair threads other than the starter relay mod at the top of the page.

I had to trim a little off the inner fender liner on both rears for my 12's to fit. My rears are 345/30/19's. Only a small trim on the left rear and a little more on the right, but still not much. Lots more options for tires with the bigger rims. Makes these ole Vettes look much better too!

That's true. I didn't want a 19 inch rear wheel but not too many tire options for 18 inch wheels. I do wish I would have gone with a slightly taller tire on the18 inch front wheel. I might do that at some point. While cleaning up the car a few weeks ago I did find one area where the tire skimmed the wheel well liner.

Thanks. Is the clearance outwards to the fender as on the stock wheels? Anywhere I'll find more pictures of your car?

That's a truly awesome setup. The FM5s suit the Z nicely. What's the offset on those? How come 19s are so rarely used in the front?

Thanks! I would have to look back at my paperwork to get the offsets. These are the Profil 5's that Fikse makes. They remove a little more mass than on the FM5's so they are lighter. I'm running 18's on the front with a 285/35 PSS. I felt going 19's up front would force me to run a tire with too small a sidewall. Not a fan of the "rubber band" look. The specs for my set up are 18x10 up front with 285/35's and 19x12 out back with 345/30's.

Jim I do like that 285 on the front. If it wasn't such a hassle I'd look into a set for my car. The wheel on my car is exactly as stock with the exception of the 1/2 inch added to the inside barrel of the wheel. FIKSE was one of my choices but they build them the way I wanted so I was met with the HREs. Don't want to come off like a picture ***** but I do have a lot of pictures of the car. Mike Gill has got 19s on his 94 and it looks HOT. As stated I didn't want to go with 19s on the rear but there are very few sizes for a 18-11.5 wheel. A 335 I think is available but didn't want that big.

Is yours the one that was for sale on the Z registry a couple years ago, the one with the NOS setup?

Jeff,
No problem whoring such a lovely car.
Though I do feel it deserves a slightly better camera.
When one has the 18s and 19s next to the other, it becomes quite visible how the extra inch affect the spoke design. The rears look a bit sleeker than the fronts with the added spoke length.

Nope. I do think I remember the one you are mentioning. Also had Fikse's and was out in Vegas if I remember correctly. Before I tore into mine it was stock minus the exhaust, which I got in the deal.

I did bite the bullet and replaced the front tires with a 265-40-18 and it looks much better.

I ran across a group of cars heading to a US car show last weekend, so I tagged along. The show was just north of Munich. I need to spend some time and clean the engine!
