Default Charcoal Metallic Paint

I'm looking to paint my '95 Z that I just bought. Possibly the Charcoal Metallic paint that was available on the '90 to '91's. It's a toss up between black or charcoal metallic and I can't decide. Right now the car is polo green with tan interior.

If anyone has pics of the Z in their color, please post your pics.

Thanks.

The only pictures I have.

FWIW, I'm not sure I'd change the color of a Z. Seems like it would kill the resale even further from having to paint it. Just my 2 cents.

besides, having cars in both colors, I prefer the polo! I believe it's the smoke gray metallic (actually looks kind of brown) you are refering too. Remember, if you do it, it has to be perfect or you will be deducting the price of a 90/91 from the value of your car. JMO

This is House of Kolor Shimrin Black pearl I believe is the name for the color below. To me it is a charcoal. Note the part of the black car on the left side of the storefront pick to see the difference between a black and the HOK Shimrin Black Pearl.

Default Charcoal ZR1

I have a Charcoal 1990 ZR1 with the light gray interior. In the sun from some angles it can look brown and sometimes even have a purple cast to it. As much as I like the color, my opinion is to keep your car the original color. I think you will be hurt on resale with a re-paint. Plus finding a shop to do a re-paint correctly will be difficult and very costly.

You could always buy a second Z?

Best Regards

I would agree, I love the color of my car and I would hate to find a body shop that would be able to match the color. I would suggest keeping the polo green.

I have lots of photos of my charcoal ZR1 and of my brothers of the same color but I am unsure of how to post pictures.
