Injector Help Please
Looks like I have a bad injector so am checking them all. Original injectors in the '91.
What are the best injectors to replace them with and where is the best place to buy a set of primary and secondary injectors?

What does "best" mean? Money no object, my two cents is that the later Multec stuff ('93-95) would be good. The newer ones are E10 compliant and they have good diffuse spray patterns. I'm sure others would say the RC's are the best.
I'd think factoring money, the Accels or maybe the rebuilt FIC stuff is best, because they are way cheaper, and I have never heard any sort of evidence or proof of any injector choice making a drivability or horsepower difference.
I'd guess most people would agree that GM direct replacements would probably be both expensive as well as dubious as to their E10 compatability.

Money is always an object but I'd like to use something that is E10 compliant, better than stock expectations on performance and durability, and best value. Thanks for the quick reply and including different options!!!!!!!

Im running RCs but they are almost twice the cost of Accels. I have never heard of anyone having issues with the RCs they are matched flowed and feature a stainless sleeve which is important as you pull out your old injectors you will be surprised to see how much rust is on them.
The Accels have been around for at least 18 months now and nobody has reported any problems yet. Avoid the GM replacements they cant handle the Evironmental additives. The FICs are really new to the LT5 market not a lot of real hard owner data on them yet. GC

The part number for the injectors is ACC-150821,you will need two boxes of 8 each.Summit is open 24 hours. Now on one set of the 8 injectors a small tab will need to be removed, all the injectors have the same tab but the plugs in the wire harness have a different location for the tab.Atlantic Speed? also has the injectors maybe for a better price. You might want to check with Jon at FIC,he had some N.O.S. Bosch injectors a few weeks ago for less than the price of the Accels.

I bought a set from Ficinjectorconnection.com - (all 16 .) They were a perfect fit & the price was great. The price was $349.95 & they are warranteed for 3 years. Jon is very knowledgeable & gives the best technical support -customer service that I have ever experienced. He was always there to answer any questions I had. The only reason I had questions was I had never replaced fuelinjectors. My car now runs better than it has in years. These injectors are also E-10 compliant. I highly recomend him & his products. Give him a call. His number is on his web site.

THANKS to all you guys that posted and PM'd me
I got the gaskets and injectors ordered from supporting CF guys and got to talk to a couple of guys about some ZR-1 events coming up in Maryland and Bowling Green.
Ordered Jon's FIC injectors and gaskets from Jerry, easy and quick
It always amazes me how all the ZR-1 guys work to togeter to help us all keep these great cars on the road and and leaving Ricers and 'Stangs wondering how that "old" Corvette just blew their doors off
