I have a sneaky feeling that the bolts will not cost $895. Are these bolts going to be a dealer item? And I would think I am going to need to replace the gasket as well.

Turns out it wasn't an exhaust leak after all. More like a compression leak from a spark plug that loosened up. BWHA! It decided to pop all the way out on the way to work this morning. What a nasty sound that made. Oh well you live and you learn. :blueangel:

Do you guys use Anti-Seize on your plugs? And what kind of top end damage are we talking about?

I'm sure you are fine but you could burn a valve or screw up the spark plug threads themselves. I would not worry about it.
I don't use anti seize because I check my plugs often. If you live near the coast or don't touch the plugs often then a very, very small amount of anti seize is ok.
A good tip is to blow out the plug area with compressed air before you take the plug out. You don't want any dirt dropping into your engine when you pull the plug.

Biz, if those are new plugs, and are the taper style plugs, you must seat them properly. The way you do that is to tighten them to the required torque(have fun on #8) then losen them up again and retorque them. What your trying to achieve is a good metal to aluminum contact area, the same way you would lap a valve to a valve seat.

These have the little washer on them. I am not sure if they are tapered or not. They have been in there for about 5-6k miles.
