1994 Copper Metallic ZR1
Ok, here goes. Does anyone REALLY know that there is actually 1 1994 Copper Metallic ZR1, and if so , where is it preported to be. I saw a post where a guy had ordered one and actually had his ZR1 Badges, but his order got cancelled. If someone really knows where this Rare Vette is, post it up, and get a picture to finally set this Urban Myth to rest.

I do however have the rear Corvette emblem and two ZR-1 emblems.

Copper Metallic ZR1 Badges
I know it has been a while, but maybe the CF Faithful would love to see a picture of the Copper Metallic ZR1 Badges you have.
P.S. Have heard that when Bob McDorman sold his 1994 Copper Metallic Coupe & Convertible last year at Auction that he owned the
Copper Metallic ZR1 that was never sold to the public. Was said that it was the only Copper Metallic not leaving his personal collection.
Urban Legend/Myth or does the mystery live on for the next season of car shows, you decide.

Is that emblem from "The ZR-1" or from a standard Corvette that was Copper Metallic? Because they did produce some coupes and convertibles that were painted Copper Metallic, and the rear emblem was the same for all the cars, could that piece be available still, after twenty years?

Do you know if it actually was a 1994 ZR-1 or was it an earlier car mocked up to look like a 1994 with the Copper Metallic color?
What color was the interior on the car? Did it have a painted or glass roof?
It would be nice to know more details about this car.

Regardless, this is a great story (so far) ...

The above is accurate regarding the coupe & vert.

Copper Z was never in/part of McDorman’s collection

Copper ZR1
Thanks B17 Crew. My Brother Markham has a "Real" 1 of 92 1994 Copper Metallic Coupe. I have always wanted to purchase a 1994 ZR1 and have it redone in Copper Metallic. I had a 1994 Torch Red Coupe we have shown together and separate at The Lone Star Corvette Classic as Members of Lone Star Corvette Club held at Texas Motor Speedway each May. To do it right I would need the correct Badges and they are just not readily available.

Below is an excerpt from automotive writer Hib Halverson and his knowledge of the one and only Copper Z. Does this sound at all familiar?
“I remember the Copper ZR-1 was a non-saleable development vehicle. I'm pretty sure it was at the long-lead press event for the 94 model year in the summer of 1993. At this point in time 20 years later, I can't remember why it was crushed other than it being a development car--could have been it was a 93 painted Copper and, thus, could not have been sold as a 94. Until he left GM, John Heinricy had the rear fascia from that car on the wall in his office at the Proving Ground.”
