Default No Start after VATS bypass...

My '91 ZR1 still starts every now and then even after I installed a Mid America VATS bypass. I would appreciate any suggestions on what could be wrong with this car. Thanks!

That reference is dated and not the best method. tccrab updated that much later and I updated it even further here for CF. The cranking wire is now the purple wire from the ECM vice yellow wire from inside the vehicle.

The information is ALL here with a modification of tccrab's original two methods making Pin 87a NOT HOT at any time.

I basically used the same procedure but ran the wires in a way that no wire cutting or splicing is needed

Hi ZR-71.......Yep...I have always recognized there are many ways to accomplish the same thing but never thought this could be done without cutting a couple wires. I have so many modifications on my Z that cutting two original wires (which made for a very compact and easy installation of the Relay) could be done without any fear of altering the original design

It appears you have accomplished this with the original design in place

Thanks for the information
