Default FS - 1991 ZR-1 high miles White/Gray $12000

SOLD!

I think the time may have come for me to move on to something different. I just don't seem to have the same interest in the car that I used to have. Perhaps it's time someone with a fresh interest gets to take over. Yes, the car has lots of miles, but most of the typical issues have been sorted out.

Asking price is $12000.

1991 ZR-1 #302 201K miles on body.
New LT5 installed 8k miles ago, rebuilt bottom end with NOS cylinder heads, from White Racing Products.
When engine was installed, new clutch, dual mass flywheel, release bearing, pilot bearing, clutch fork, and ball stud installed.
Slave cylinder and Master cylinder rebuilt by Jim Jandik of powertorquesystems.com.

ZFDoc Beam Plates.
C4 convertible under-body X-Brace.

Original black tag ZF6 with ZFDoc shifter. Smooth and quiet trans.
Castrol TWS fluid.

Original Dana 44 3.45 rear axle, u-joints and seals replaced last year, though still seeps some from pinion seal.

Nitto 555 tires all around (275/315), with less than 10k miles on them.

Banski complete rear suspension components - trailing arms, camber rods, toe rods. All high-quality rod-end pieces.

C5 brakes in front. New goodridge braided lines, and new Solo-Bleed bleeder screws, fresh fluid (just finished last night). Rebuilt master cylinder.

Plain C4 windshield (Pilkington glass) installed a few months ago, with NEW GM weatherstrips and new trim/retainers.

A/C blows 46 degree air on 90 degree day -- works GREAT after much troubleshooting after replacement of all system components. R12.

Fluidyne radiator
Braided stainless oil cooler lines
Rebuilt alternator
Rebuilt starter
Rebuilt power steering pump.
FIC injectors and newer coils and plug wires (within last 2 years)
Secondary port throttle system deleted, Marc Haibeck chip.
Jeal headers, Swain Tech coated.
No cats.
Corsa resonator/mufflers.

All engine sensors/senders are less than a year old.

Recently refinished A-molds, a couple of nicks and chips but in great condition overall.

All new bushings throughout front suspension. New balljoints and tie rod ends. Probably could use a steering rack at some point -- not leaking, but seems to have a little on-center play.

FX3 system has been upgraded to the 92-95 style. Shocks have around 20k miles on them. Occasionally the ride control light comes on, but I've not had time to troubleshoot.

Headlights upgraded to Hella/H4 style with high out put bulbs.

Interior:

aftermarket Clarion keyless entry installed, 2 remotes included.

door panels, carpet and seats from '96 collector edition (light gray).
Alpine double-din headunit with amber/orange illumination to match dash. 8" subs in rear speaker locations, 5.25" speakers in front. Amp behind driver's seat. System really sounds great, high quality components (Image Dynamics, ARC Audio). Power antenna works great. RAAMmat and Ensolite sound deadening applied to interior under carpet. Redline leather shift boot, console cover, and e-brake handle cover (gray leather to match seats). Hurst white ball shift ****.

Both tops. Clear top in great shape, stored indoors.
Windows tinted 20% all around.
Windshield has clear tint "AirBlue" to help with heat rejection like stock windshield.

Valentine One remote display integrated into DIC display.
LTPWS system removed.

Auto-Dimming rear view mirror with orange compass display, and map lights/courtesy lamps.

Momo steering wheel (no airbag). If the lack of an airbag is a deal breaker for anyone, we can negotiate for replacement prior to sale.

Tachometer error has been fixed / calibrated.

Bosch fuel pumps installed.

Most service records available since new (1990).

I'm probably forgetting a few things, I will update as needed.

Front bumper cover needs paint. The rest of the car is passable in the paint department (white is pretty forgiving), but is not show quality by any means.

Andrew, say it aint so????????????

You've done a ton of work to that Z. High miles on the body, yes...but a rebuilt LT5 with another 200k left in it. You're gonna make someone happy.

Brett, I know it... I just seem to have lost the spark that I used to have, when it comes to working on the car. I used to look forward to maintenance and some repairs, but not so much anymore.

Can't believe you are selling the car after all the work you have done to it. i certainly understand it when the flame goes out though. Mine has also.

GLWS you shouldn't have a problem. Very nice car with a TON of maintenance and goodies.

Thanks, John. It's definitely with a heavy heart that I put the car up for sale -- since so much blood, sweat, and tears have gone into it over the last 2 1/2 years. But like you said, once the flame goes out, it rarely returns for very long. Sometimes a new mod brings back the interest for a while, but in my experience, that becomes a case of throwing good money after bad.

The interior is Light Gray, from a 96 Collector Edition (perforated leather sport seats). Much lighter than the gray that was available in 91.

Good Lord thats a beautiful car! Absolutely love it! One question though, what is the "engine power" key? I'm not familiar. It looks stock, was it an option originally? What does it do exactly?

Looking for an early-90s BMW M5 (E34). Trying a very different direction from what I'm used to.

No cash right this second though. Go back and forth about another C4, or vette in general. Love/hate lol
(love driving them hate working on em)

One of a few cases where one could easily overlook the mileage as many components are new/replaced and seems well sorted out.

I bet someone sees the value of that and picks it up soon.

Dig the grey interior looks sharp

Thanks, Ron. I know there's a buyer out there, I'd love for it to stay on the forum of course... I've had some interest already, lots of watchers on ebay, so we'll see how it all goes.

I can take a deposit and hold the car for a short while if need be
