Rev it to 5,000, drop the clutch in 1st gear, keep throttle on the floor, Power shifts in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears

You know what it can do , just go do it. All the guys I race with have a saying: " don't sing it, bring it" You have all the goodies to bring it, now go do it. Have fun. It would be nice to see some video. We are waiting!

Yes, I'm trolling around trying to learn more about this great car and its history. The LT5 is amazing.

I've seen plenty of ZR-1s launched like that over the years. The key is wheelspin; if it dead hooks it will break, for sure. As long as it slips a little (either the clutch or the tires), the rears will take a lot of abuse. In being around ZR-1s for 15+ years, I've only once seen anything broken, and that's amazing given how mercilessly these cars were beaten at the Gatherings back in the day (I believe it was Dewey S's car at Beech Bend, perhaps the same year this video was taken). They really are a robust design, but it doesn't hurt to have everything hardened/cryo'd for good measure.

I know the white beast has forged steel heavy duty half shafts, but I'm not sure about the spindles. I've been to 8200 RPM on the car already, and in fact it does have a rev limiter, because I have blipped it....it is north of 8000 somewhere.
