Default ZR-1s in Northern Virginia>>>

Thought I would share this with you all... I have a ZR-1 and a C6 so on the CF I hang out on the C6 forums and the ZR-1 Registry for ZR-1 things.

This all happened this Saturday in Northern Virginia>>>

I had a great time... started off in the early morning at the Great Falls, Va Cruize In and Coffee. It was just at freezing so got a LITTLE cold but regardless there were 6 ZR-1s>>

With Phil in the lead we caravanned over to Tysons Corner for the Fast Cars and Freedom gathering and the count of Zs went up (total of 13)>>

Was good to see everyone and we put on quite a gathering of the WAZOO (Washington Area Z Owners Organization) crowd

That much awesomeness in one place must have created its own gravitational pull.

This charity is pretty rare, they give 100% of all proceeds to Fisher House (takes care of wounded veterans families when they visit them while in the hospital).

Many charities give a percentage or less operating costs... 100% goes towards Fisher House and there are soo many companies that donate money and services!!!

We all went because a local ZR-1 owner Paul Farrance passed away Sunday night October 7th and we all wanted to make our presence known. Charlie (on the ZR1netregistry) said this "The ZR1's were the largest collection of cars in the show and we are the limited production units. Speaks volumes for our group." So true of our group and our friend.

Paul will be missed

David, thanks for organizing and making me aware of the event. It was great to see everyone again . The "WAZOO" group is really a great bunch of guys. It is realy nice to know there is this group of ZR-1 owners who are so supportive of each other. We are very fortunate to have this many ZR-1 owners in such a relatively close area . Nice gesture for Paul. I am sure his daughter was touched by the support. It is also a great cause in which the proceeds go to families who really need and deserve this. I am proud to say in November I will be instructing at Summit Point for the "Helmets off to Heroes". This will be my second time doing this. It is a great cause and very rewarding seeing these veterans getting to drive there cars at a track day after they have returned home. After all they have done for us it is great to get a chance to say thanks. Last time was great and of course they had a blast and appreciated the event. Thanks Veterans!

How many ZR-1's showed up for the event (Okay just read there were 13!) That's unreal to see that many lined up together. I bet it blew a few minds and made a real statement about these special Corvettes. Are all of them in the WAZOO?. Wish I was there to see it.

All "Wazoo" brothers. Great day and looking forward to the next one!
