That was the advertised power. I have original documentation from Lotus with a dyno sheet showing 445 CHP at 6600 rpm. It is signed off by Lotus with the statement that the "advertised power" will be 405 hp. What documentation do you have?

The LSx was cheaper to build lighter and smaller 2 reasons GM went to them over the DOHC.
Take a good look at the mains on the LT5...northstar and then an LSx.
See the similiarities? Think GM had knew something worked well and kept on with it maybe?
Yes it started there.
