Default Anyone use Mishimoto silicon hoses?

There are on da bay for $162 for the entire kit. Much less than the Samco hoses. Item no: 150874752874

My import friends swear by them and say they are great.

Thanks for the input!

Yeah, I think mine are that brand. I have had no problems but have only been on car for six months. Original rubber hoses are hard to come by, and I didn't want a breakdown, so I went with silicone. If you have to have rubber, I found out later the zr-1 specialist has them...

Marc Haibeck sells rubber hose sets. He has a website and provides excellent service.

My 95 ZR1 has 1100 miles on it and I wanted to save the original hoses for some future collector use (and least thats what I told myself).

Samco hoses in any color but blue are a pain in the a$$ to get, so I put a set of Mishimoto hoses on and they are every bit as good as the last Samco set I bought for my 96 GS......for 1/3 the price. Perfect fit and I bought some silicone stainless Gates clamps....looks good.

Grab a set with no worries.

Nice looking engine bay, glad you are enjoying your hose kit. Thanks for all of the support and feedback guys!

Mishimoto silicone hoses are manufactured from four layers of silicone and heat resistant embedded fibers which results in greater longevity, durability and tolerance to both heat and pressure.

pushrod-v8: I would be happy to answer any questions you have regarding this hose kit or any other products, shoot me a PM.

Thanks
-John

How is the "M - logo" applied? It would be of interest I'd think for maybe a run of hoses "with-out" the "M - logo" for perhaps a group buy of interested ZR-1 owners. Maybe a one color "no logo" run or two color to offer a choice.

Are you talking about from the throttle body to the air filter housing?

Also curious if this is what you are referring to? If so, we do not currently offer this product. Thanks for the inquiry.

The logo is applied under a layer of silicone therefore making it impossible to remove without damaging the hose. I believe you sent a PM my way WVZR-1 regarding this. I will speak with some folks here regarding this and report back.

Thanks guys!

If we get enough interest in this particular product we can certainly begin some R&D to get the ball rolling. A group buy would be something determined later down the line.

I have not had any requests for this product, however I assume it is unique to the LT5?

Thanks

I just bought a set of Mishimoto from summit racing and also a set from Jerry's gasket. Both in black and they appear to be great quality. I can make some comparison if you guys are interested. I also have another customer with a set of Samco that I can compare too.

I'll take 3 intake hoses if Mishimot makes it.

Samco offers their air intake ducts for the L98, LT1, and LT5 engines.

It is next to impossible to get the Samco hoses though is the problem. So, I think we are all looking for an intake hose, air filter housing to intake horn. Besides Samco does anybody know if anybody else makes these or maybe we could contact Samco and see how many they would need ordered for them to ship to us?

Ha, yes there is a group buy going on right now through 10 Nov 2014 for intake hoses and/or coolant hoses. Check it out on the registry. A link is posted above. We need a minimum of 25 orders for Jerry's Gaskets to make it happen.
