Default Engine stamp located

Looking at buying a 1990 ZR1. Can anyone tell me where the engine stamp is so that I can confirm matching numbers. Thanks Brandon.

Here is the VIN derivitive wh ich serves as confirmation enough, and is much easier to find and see than the full stamp on the front.

The transmission is also a VIN controlled component so you need to confirm that for #'s matching. That is on the left rear, open this image in a photo-viewer of your choice and it will be quite obvious it's location. In this image it's difficult to see:

One last thing to confirm is the transparent top if it has the option. The original top would display the derivative VIN also. The top has to be off the car to confirm. It is on the drivers side rail front and will be obvious.
