Default WTB: ZR1 ram air intake scoop for front license plate

Would like to buy the front license plate scoop out of a ZR1 or aftermarket if someone has one available.
Thanks,
Gene K.

I am currently sourcing a Vacuum forming vendor to reproduce these. I purchased the rights to the AO Engineering Forced Air System last year.

I'll keep everyone posted once the air inlet is produced.

Are you producing only the plate portion?

No. I'm sourcing the entire package. Once the front inlet plates are completed, I'll begin source the rest.

Default Front Licesense Plate Requirements

More Scoop
Maybe I am all wet here but if you cannot eliminate the front license plate.....seems could be an issue for Scoop installation

Or am I confused about the design of the scoop

Texas Law says you have to have a front License Plate but the law tripped up somehow and will not be enforced

When I lived in Colorado and Texas, they required front plates, but it was one of the laws that wasn't really enforced. Unless you were already pulled over and the cop wanted to tack on an extra fee.

Thankfully, I've been in GA and now NM.....no front plate and the front bumper looks better for it.

VetteDaddy,
Good on you for getting them back into production!

I'm on LI too. Haven't used a front plate on any of my Corvette's. Never got a ticket either. But don't frequent OBI-Captree scene.

The Police have nothing better to do ? They have red light camera's and bust chops for no front plate.
Crime is going out of sight , heroin , oxy addiction etc. This area is going down hill fast.

New law passed in Nebraska effective January 1, 2013. With the purchase of a Special Interest license plate at an additional cost of $50, only the rear plate is required.

Those crimes don't pay for new cruisers. It was the same problem in Colorado Springs.....couldn't drive 5 miles to work without seeing at least 2 or 3 cop cars cruising around, but call 911 and you get put on hold. Really....that happened to me.

At least on the C5 and earlier, there's a reasonable place to put the plate without ruining the car. On the C6, you have to drill holes in the bumper to mount it.

Time to move to a place where you can buy Vette Daddy's part.....

Michigan is a one plate state. However, they do stick it to you if you want a vanity plate. Marine corp plates are 35.00 extra a year.
I personally think I should get a discount for being shot at while on active duty.

Shoot, I paid 3 dollars for my DV plates on the vette that is the only licensing fee I ever had to pay even when I purchased it! They take good care of us down here.

N.J. is alright, had my '94 for about 8-9yrs now and never installed the front plate. It's on the side of the drivers seat if asked about it, would plead insanity as to how to install. Could probably throw it on the dash board before the officer pulled me over. I have driven through a couple check points, I guess the F.O.P. badge helps although I donate every year, so it still costs me. I guess some police are just not Corvette fans, probably mustang owners.

Came across this post because I googled forced air ZR1.....I know the post is a few years old but if you found a forced air unit with the front plate I would like to get one for my 91....

Looks really good anyway with the cut outs in the front..

Thnx
