Nacho- That car will forever be a legend to me, as the only stock motor ZR-1 that I know of to lift the front wheels at the strip.

Gears and tires, Dude.

Default Update - yes I have the original 3.42 gears!

..A few people have called and expressed an interest in taking the car back to stock. I have told these folks that I didn't have the original gears. Today as I was digging in the storage shed to get out the stock exhaust/rims/etc. I found the gears nestled in the corner of the shed! And of course, here go the pics that I promised:

Rear Undercarriage pic 1:

Rear Undercarriage pic 2:

Rear Undercarriage pic 3:

Passenger Side Undercarriage pic 4:

Stock Saw Blade rims with Goodyear Eagle tires + Stock Exhaust Manifolds + Stock Resonator + Spare Tire with assembly + Spare Tire Bag + BnB Mufflers + Stock 3.42 Gears:

Good tread on tires:

Close up Pic of the Stock Gears:

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Carlos

Oh fed ex, ups, usps any of them can ship that stuff.

I have shipped wheels with tires via usps from the states to my base in Okinawa Japan when I was stationed there. I'm sure you can get them home. All the rest wrap in cardboard and ship it. Or take a truck tow the car back and the rest goes in the back of the truck.

Done! And cheaper than any auto shipper. And you don't need a class a drivers license to do it yourself!

I would come get it but that's a 2400 round trip and towing a trailer that's about 6-700 in fuel alone and 4 days time to get out and back.

It probably wasn't meant to be,Goat. There are plenty of decently-priced ZR-1's out there, though. Any particular year and color combo you're looking for?

I am really not picky on the year or color as long as it is a solid car. Probably going to have to be a 90-92 to fit in budget but personal preference is 91+ body. Mods do not scare me and mileage isn't a giant factor either, a family friend took his 91 to 300k plus before he traded it in so I know they're stout if cared for.

Just wanted to update this thread. Yes I have been sent a deposit and the potential buyer is looking to pick the car up at the end of this month. I will update this thread again in a couple weeks.

Thanks

The buyer came and picked up the car earlier today. He is a Corvette enthusiast so I know the car is in good hands.

Thanks for the kind words and all the great memories.

I will miss this place!
