Default Want to trade Airplane for ZR-1

If this is approved moderators please make necessary changes and place this posting in the C4 C3 and C2 area.
Below are the changes I've made to the posting:

thank you, Tankengine

Since I've posted the want to trade for ZR-1, I found a ZO6 on the forum and have bought it.

I love the car but would still like to have another older Vette.

Please do not contact me with unsolicited offers of help selling, financing etc. as I do not have to sell this Plane.

I would like to find an older C-4; C-3; or C;2. and since I paid cash for the ZO6 I am now wanting to and need to trade the airplane for the next Vette of like value or near same.

Want to trade Airplane for ZR-1
I have a 1973 Citabria 7ECA I have owned since 1998. I have flown it for about three hundred hours. It is in excellent condition and is equipped as follows:

Original logs; showing that in 1989 it was completely rebuilt with new covering, new windows, paint and engine overhaul.

The engine is Lycoming O-235-115 HP. The airframe is in extremely good condition. The wing has a beautiful wooden spar; dual tanks (18 gallons each).

Avionics are King KX-125 NAV-COM Narco AT 50-A Transponder, and Garmin Hand Held GPS mounted on panel currently as well as all the regular avionics such as; Air Speed indicator, Altimeter, Artificial Horizon; Directional Gyro; G-Meter; Recording Tachometer; Whiskey Compass, Suction Gage and Hobbs meter.

Engine instruments: Oil Pressure; Oil temp and Amp Gage.

The Emergency Locator Transmitter is an Ameriking Corp. Model AK-450 with new batteries.

The original log books are in order and available for inspection.

The tach time is reading 1840.59 Total Time on air frame since new.

The engine time since overhaul by High Performance Aircraft Engines is 687.59 Hrs. done in 1993.

The link to pictures are a combination of some old and some current.
The current pics were taken today 09/11/14. The plane is somewhat dusty in these pictures thanks to the CXO airport is building a new taxiway and there are hundreds of dump trucks passing all day long by my hanger and stirring up dust. I will wash the plane soon and publish better pics with it much cleaner.
The plane is always kept in an insulated hanger and has only been left outside overnight 6 or 7 times when I flew it to the Reklaw, Texas and the (Under the Wire) Fly In at Louise, Tx. or when I was traveling on a weekend and could not find rentable hanger space for the night.

I have not flown it in 6 years and have decided to trade it for other endeavors, namely a Corvette.

The Citabria is in good running condition and is started and run monthly. It is currently out of annual inspection which can be done by your mechanic or a local one on the field where my hangar is situated (CXO) Lone Star Executive Airport--Conroe, Texas.

I like the looks of the Late C-4's, C-5's & C-6's specifically the ZR-1 and would like to have a low miles White, Ruby Red or Grey. I only am interested in a manual tranny, preferably very low miles 93 year model or newer that can be driven daily.

I will be also be listing the plane for sale for $44,000.00 on Barnstormers

I will trade up or down for a ZR-1 of close value.

If interested please PM me with a full history description of the car along with as many pictures as possible.

thanks,

tankengine

Looks great
I took flying lessons back in the mid 70's and flew those. Early on the hardest trouble I had to get used to was pushing the stick forward on takeoff to level out

Default There is more than one way to fly

Very nice Citabria

Good Luck on a trade

I have flown one (Citabria 150 hp) upside down but mostly right side up while working on the way to a commercial license.

The name (Citabria) spelled backwards is airbatic

Yep...that was the trick with flying the Citabria with 150 hp.......Full Throttle, Push stick forward to lift tail and then WAM....back on stick and talk about short field takeoff

If the values were closer,I might have been interested. Also, not sure I could keep a 2nd Class medical now, though.

Good luck with a trade. Very nice bird!

Nice plane-

Very hard to sell these days. No one can afford the gas.

I can offer my 2008 BMW 335i- Black coupe- sport and luxury packages.

I suppose its like owning a vette.

Current gas prices at CXO (Conroe), Tx is $5.49 per gallon.

I use it exclusively in all my lawn equipment Mowers/Weedeaters/chain saw.

It will not ruin carburetors.

to much distance between yours and a 70k mi 93, but I sure wish you good fortune on finding a ZR-1 owner who makes a good match
