FOR SALE MY RARE 1990 Steel Blue ZR1 with 76,000 original miles on it.
I am selling my 1990 ZR1. I have it on autotrader, cars.com, and cargurus. $12,500 FIRM. It's never seen snow but I do not have a garage for this anymore, so I would like to sell it to someone who appreciates Vettes, and can keep it in good condition. I have it listed TO SELL. 77,000 miles on it and in overall excellent condition. Please message me or reply to my eBay post for a sale. I would like to get rid of it soon, but at the same time, I am not willing to give it away because of its rarity. Here is the eBay link. Let's make a deal. I would love to get it in the hands of a vette enthusiast then just someone willing to make a quick flip. Message me if you are seriously interested.

since I lowered it to 12,500..... the traffic on this has been ridiculous. Phone has been going all day. It's just a matter of who is serious in buying it. I think it will be gone by next week 100% without a doubt.

I met the owner of this car this week. Super nice guy and seemed to be a stand up fellow. He was super nice and a pleasure to hang out with. I also rode in the car and the motor ran very smooth. No grinding in the gears and clutch shifted fine. Lights worked flawless as well. There was no smoke at all or funny smells. Oil looked new on the dipstick. The brakes worked fine and I really did not notice any issues. I almost pulled the trigger but decided to wait for the same color as my previous C4 (torch red).

I saw this car on Friday and would absolutely love to get it, but just can't justify picking up another medium-mileage driver. I'm sure that I'll regret the decision to pass on this deal, but wanted to share my thoughts on the car to others who might be considering this car.
This is the perfect car for someone looking to get into their first Z, or someone who has a low mile Z now and wants a second that they can drive guilt-free. I would move quickly on this one though, it won't last long.
Seller is a great person to deal with and has accurately and honestly described the car. He's a stand-up guy and I think that the car is worth more than he's asking.
Overall: A solid, unmolested Z that drives very well and just needs a few cosmetics to really stand out. Steel Blue is rare and beautiful to see on these cars, and this one will look great after a good detailing. It's been parked outside, so it was a little dirty when I saw it, but you can easily see through that to see how nice it is. Two people walking by stopped to admire and comment on the car while I was looking at it.
Exterior/Paint: I know that there has been a lot of discussion on the quality of the paint on this car, and the need for a complete repaint. Repaint is NOT needed. The paint looked pretty good and it presented better than the pictures show. Seller showed me the few areas that were touched up and they looked well-matched. The halo is the only area that needs some attention (probably too dull to buff to a shine). Wheels were refinished, but could use some new center caps (easy and pretty cheap to find) to look great. Better yet, put the originals on the shelf and throw on some A molds. Everything else looked good to me.
Interior: Complete (minus power key), in good shape and everything seems to work as advertised. One small tear on drivers seat but better than average condition for the mileage and age.
Mechanicals: Car fired right up and runs really smooth; clutch and transmission felt great (better than either of my two cars) and provided great feedback on shifts. Does not pull and brakes straight. No weird noises, smoke or stumbling. Exhaust starting to look a little tired, but I would replace that anyway with a less restrictive system. Needs new front tires if being driven any distance, but the current ones should get you home if you are in this part of the country. Antenna won't fully retract, but that's an easy DIY fix for just about anyone. I don't think the car was driven in the winter.
Bottom line: honest seller, solid car in a rare color, and a bargain at this price. It's hard for me to pass because I really want the car, but it's going to make someone really happy.
