Default Samco Hoses?

As some of you know I ordered a set of Samco Hoses back in July. A few of you have checked with me periodically to see if I have received them. I have not. The problem is they have to be imported from England and Samco will not ship them until there is a minimum order but as of yet we don't know exactly what that number is so in short I can't get my hoses. So with that said does anybody know where I can get silicon or just colored hoses here in the States? If anybody is interested in trying to get enough orders so that Samco will ship let me know and we can get with Hinson Motorsports and see what we can do. Thanks.

Craig,
Craig,

There are another type of silicon hoses easily found on EBay that look identical to the Samco hoses. I forget the name but I've found them by searching for "silicon hoses for LT5 Corvette".

I've tried to call them numerous times to place an order for a Samco air intake duct. No success.

Last year, that answer was no.
I have not heard of any updates, nor does it show on their website.
they made the coolant hoaes knowing the limited number of LT-5's.
Maybe when they see what the other air ducts sell for, they might find the economics very appealing!

Now if we could only source an ignition module.......

When I first talked to Hinson Motorsports about Samco products, they gave me the distinct impression they would be willing to keep the minimum amount in stock. Obviously, they either misled us or changed their minds after not getting a lot of orders, right away. I wanted to see if they would follow through. Looks like they are not interested in our business since we don't own a C5-C6-C7 that everyone and their brother owns.

Edit: I just received a PM from them, informing me they would no longer take any orders for Samco products because of the long lead times.
Well,duhhh!

Default Hot, Hot, HOT!

Hey if you go to Nipponpower.com you can order the Mishimoto silicone hose kit for the C4 ZR-1 for $162.00 plus tax and shipping. So for me in Miami the total was $185.00. Mishimoto has them on their own website still at $270.00. No snorkel/intake hose so far but I think that is a great deal and they do have colors available.

I would think that silicon is silicon, but does anyone have any input as to if the quality of the Mishimoto hoses is similar to the Samco? Thickness? Are there different grades of silicon and how do these rank?

Craig
,
But again, how long will it to get the other brand, once ordered?
We're not talking about hose kits for a Honda Civic, here.

I want a Samco air duct and would prefer matching hoses. If I have to wait months to get them, then so be it. I guess Hinson won't be getting my business.

Craig,
If you have an American express card with reward points you can use the points on amazon.com

I paid after my reward points about $90 for the entire kit to my door.

Not Samco, but every bit as good. They do stock them and have since adding them almost a year ago.

My mistake,Jerry. For some reason,I thought you only had a few sets left of Samco items,in black. I posted in your GP thread.

Update: My hoses that I purchased from Nipponpower have already shipped and will be here this week. I will post pics and measure for thickness when I get them.

Alright, just received my blue hoses from nipponpower.com. Ordered on the 8th delivered on the 13th. Packed very well and the quality as far as I can tell, admittedly not an expert, is excellent. I can post some pics if anybody really needs to see them. Send me a PM and I can email you individually. They do have the big Mishimoto "M's" on each side so there is no turning it over but that doesn't bother me.

I checked them out on Summit's site last night and to be honest,I kinda like the "M" lettering on them.
