And.......that Connection on Air Box of number 72 had a make shift cap on it with no hose to the Air Valve....which is what started all this for me as I figured the hose was missing on number 72.

I do not recall such an Air Box connection on my L98 cars but will check.

Apologize to chgc267 for taking this thread in this direction but maybe we all can learn some things about abnormalities of the first 1990 ZR-1s. It prolly was a learning experience by GM. Some changes were obviously made in the 1991s regarding the charcoal Canister, Plenum, Injector Housings, Heads as we already are aware of.

It is also interesting chgc267 ZR-1 is one of the last ZR-1s off that assembly line in 1990 (number 3025).
A Very Nice LT5 to be sure

No problem, Thanks for the kudos! I was at Marc Haibeck's shop yesterday and mentioned to him about the missing air injection hose. He told me there is nothing missing and everything was correct. He pointed to my air box and said there is no nipple to connect a hose. I believe he mentioned to me that those Air boxes were the same as later model LT1's w/ the exception they had the nipple on them? I could be wrong on the model, I'll double check w/ him again and advise.

When I picked my 1990 up a few years ago I originally thought it had 4:10s ... as it turned out the tach was way off
