Just picked this '90 ZR-1
I just picked up this '90 ZR-1 #3025 a few weeks ago. I've been over on the C2 site detailing my '67 restomod. It's been taking longer than I thought so I had the urge for something else. I always loved the ZR-1's so I pulled the trigger and bought one. The previous owner (3rd) bought it back in 2007 and put 6k on it during this time, only driving it on nice days...It had 22k on it when I picked it up out east and drove it back to Chicago, stopped in Avon Lake, OH to visit a friend for the night and went home the next day...w/ the exception of the first two hours, it rained the whole way! The good news...the wipers worked perfect & no leaks whatsoever w/ the glass top. The car feels solid, the only rattling I heard was from the 2nd top stored in the hatch area and when I hit some big bumps. I will be dropping it off to Marc Haibeck in a few weeks. I'm already getting a bucket list of mods I want to do. The car already has his Chip and Corsa exhaust...looking over Marc's web site has daydreaming of all the things I want to do. Headers, gears and refinishing the engine are up 1st. I looked on Marc's web site and w/ 4:10 gears I should turn 2,000 rpm in 6th @ 75mph...Which is what it does now. The previous owner mentioned to me that it pulled better than any other ZR-1's. He said he never changed them and assumed the car had the stock gears?

Congrats!!!
Looks like a beauty!!
You have some of the best tires on it now (Goodyear F1's) and best exhaust (IMO) Corsa.
Love the Dana 4:10's, one of the best upgrades!
Another great upgrade is the shifter:
Bill Boudreau makes the best shifter for C4's (www.zfdoc.com)
Headers are the "best" upgrade (if you don't have them already) Talk to Marc Haibeck about them.
again congrats and enjoy!!

Thanks for the invite! I live downtown in the West Loop but work in Downers Grove. Traffic will be brutal heading into the city at that time. Since I'm only about 13 miles away and traffic moves well heading north on I-355, it sounds like a plan! Looking forward to it!

You may see my black on black Z in the west loop!
Nice ride!
