The '90 had an old style front end, with the "new" style ZR-1 rear, and it had the black rub strips. It was only that way in '90. That is why even though the 90 sold more units, you don't seem to see as many of them on the road, because there were 5 years (91-95) of cars sold that look identical from a body standpoint.......the '90 is my favorite bodystyle.

gill panels on the front fenders were different, I don't know what the difference is in the quarter panel
I had a 90, 93, and 2 95s, but I'm only paying attention to the digital display on the dyno

While none-the-less small, the automobile industry would still classify the front "gill" panels as front quarter panels. I guess we all fall back on our experiences. Does anyone here ever call the rear window a "backlight"? Because that's also an automotive industry term.

If you are going to use quarter panel as a term for both front and rear, then you are going to have to qualify it for us. I.E. front quarter panel or rear quarter panel......I would have got front quarter panel.
