For Those that are Looking for a BRAND NEW C4 ZR-1 Here it is:
I have no connection nor am I promoting this car, but for those that are stuck on the C4 ZR-1 this car might be what you're looking for, still in the wrappers with only 17 miles on the clock:

Can't help but wonder how it ended up at a Volkswagen dealership of all possible places.
As much as I would want it, what could you possibly do to it without destroying it's value?
Tow it around the country for Top Flight and Bloomington?
Then again, it's less expensive than most new Corvettes, so why not buy and drive a "new" 95!
Certainly unique by comparison!

Beautiful car and no doubt a head turner. I have to agree with Speedemon, its gonna be a tough sale. Unless its sold to someone that has gobs of money and just has to have one!
Does make me wonder, if it hasn’t been regularly started and the drive train turned over I think it would have some major issues with leaking. Especially if it was put back on the road as a driver. (Not that you would want to do that to such a blue chip car) How rare was Green on black for 95?
It will be interesting to see what happens with this one!

Yeah, that's a tough sale today at that price. It's going to take many years down the road,with no driving, to support the value. Except for the very deep pockets folks and even them will most likely seek some other rare vehicles.

Right now at this time I'm in a market to hunt a low mileage C6 ZR1. $70K is what I'm preparing to spend. I don't think there's anyone out there that would ever spend $70K on a C4 ZR-1 unless they absolutely have to have one and their putting into a museum. I have owned one of these in the past and they definitely are excellent cars in their times, but with technology and everything else they have been surpassed by the newer models. You can even pick up a C6 Z06 at a cheaper price and run circles around the C4 ZR-1's. I'm wondering if this #132 has a pair of Dunn heads on it.

Understandable....however the new zr1 doesn't have four cams nor the history.
The ZR1 is an awesome car no doubt.

No I'm not looking one of these. I have owned one with the Dunn heads for a while up to 2007. If fact I was the person that collected all the data to put together the 94-95 ZR-1 production list & the listing of the Dunn heads. I have sold mines back in 2007 and on my way into trying to locate a 2011 JSB or SSB ZR1 now. I came across this #132 while I was in search of my C6 ZR1 and figured I would pass this on to the C4 guys. Like I said earlier this will be a hard sell with the availability of everything else out there I don't see much of anyone that's willing to put down $70K on a brand new c4 ZR-1.
IMHO the LT5 ZR-1 is the next corvette to reach 67 L68/L71 status in collection value.
GLWP on the ZR1, the prices are dropping daily.
With the new Z06 hitting the market, this trend will most certainly continuing.

My personally experience I have never looked at these cars as an investment. If you're talking about making money there are other areas you can make money with better returns. I sold my ZR-1 in 2007 after getting a little bored and I bought 3 houses for rentals when the housing market was low a couple of years later. This has been a hell of great return for me. I don't think a car would have that kind of a ratio on the return for the money. I look at cars as a hobby. I have been working in the car industry all my life since 1979 and never have I looked at cars as money making investment.
