I'm not doing this for a customer. I'm not a shop. This is all my own dime. I passed on wrecked car that if I bought the whole car would've paid for an engine if I parted out the car. That's probably what both those ^ were. I want the wiring harness but over $5000 is not in the budget. I'm willing and would rather rebuild a higher mile engine instead paying full internet price

I wouldn't and could never sell a complete engine with harness, computer, and other small things, Like say thermostat housing for $5K

But if you only need a Engine lets say block and heads maybe without the plenum, injector housings, and what not you can get in under 5K.

I might be picking up another ZR-1 to part out PM me and we can talk.

It happens.

I know of a complete motor for sale, harness, ECM, Thermostat housing, and more... however... it appears the buyer is missing in action so far.

Is this Engine you are talking about Zrxmax Yours?
Where is this complete motor?
Is the Transmission included?

1. Thermostat Housings and/or ECMs are NOT usually included.
2. Oil Cooler Hoses are usually NOT included. Power Steering Pump and hoses are Usually included.
3. Exhaust Manifolds are NOT included.
4. Wiring Harness is sometimes included. Alternator and AC Compressor are often included.
5. Bell Housing and complete Clutch, Pressure Plate and Flywheel are almost Always included.
6. Selling complete LT5s usually requires Buyer Direct Pickup as Shipping is expensive requiring a forklift or lift on both ends.
7. Was the Engine Running in good shape when it was removed and what mileage on the engine is important to know.

How Many Miles would you like on the Engine you are looking for (see item 7 above)?

1st, its not mine. I was asked to go along and check it out for the buyer ( Larry ) when he went to look at it.

2nd, its a 91 motor with approx 90K on it. We have not heard it run. The story goes that the car was totaled in a rear end collision. The trans was there but Larry didn't need it. Based on the lenthy interaction with the owner of the 91 motor it seems his story was believable about what happened to the 91 Z that was totaled.

It has a radiator, ECM, harness, thermostat housing, flywheel, clutch disk, and pressure plate. It also has exhaust manifolds but I can't really say what their condition is without looking at them again.

The motor is in Murrieta with my friend Larry who I sold a 90 ZR-1 to over a year ago. Larry bought the engine because his was having some issues so he bought a spare just in case the motor in his 90 needed replacing. We did a lot of work on this 90 Z and it is now running like a champ with the exception of a slight ticking sound that has faded in loudness from when we started working on it.

It appears Larry won't be keeping that engine because he doesn't really need it. His 90 Z has about 45k on it right now.

I just was in need of an LT5 on the bench to practice on

When you are buying LT5s you never know the reason for the Sale and you never know exactly how much mileage on the engine.

This engine was absolutely Mint Condition under the Cam Covers. Will do a Compression check shortly after I pressurize the Oil System. Usually engines are parted out and not sold complete (there are some crate engines around) that have sit for years. The best engine to buy is one from a rear end collision where the engine is not damaged and the car was running and of low mileage just before the Rear Ender.
