Default ZR1 Specialists in Dallas?

I'm about to pull the trigger on the yellow '94 ZR-1 for sale in Dallas. I'm new to ZR-1's (and Vettes all together), so I'd like to get a good pre-purchase inspection before I sign the dotted line. Any recommendations for shops in Dallas/Addison area?

Whoever you choose be Positive they are well versed on the Lt-5 Zr-1.
When I sold mine had a Bmw specialist inspect it, Had problems with the rotating assembly- They didn't even catch it.

Welcome

I would think you could find someone in the vicinity of Dallas on this (Corvette Forum) or the "other" Forum that can take a look at the ZR-1 for you.
Very few "shops" located anywhere are familiar with the ZR-1/LT5 engine.

There are several owners in the Dallas area who could give a solid look at the car. Perhaps one will volunteer.

I just recently paid a guy $50 to look at a car for me. I didn't buy it, but better to find out sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the input. I'd certainly be willing to part with $50 and a beer if a knowledgeable ZR-1 owner in DFW would be willing to meet me in Addison tomorrow afternoon to look at the car. I'm still going to get a local Corvette shop to do a visual inspection since I don't have anything else lined up yet, but I would also like to have someone who knows the LT5 and its problems inspect the car.

jon_d4, I'm a '94 ZR-1 owner in DFW (Frisco). Did you buy the car? If you still have a need for someone to look at a ZR-1 that is familiar with them, shoot me a message.

Regarding shops, Henderson Performance down near Austin is really the only trustworthy shop that I can recommend for LT-5 work - they REALLY know the ZR-1 and do great work (they are one of about nine shops around the country that are ZR-1 specialists). The body is still a C4, so depending on what work ever needs to be done, you may be ok with a local shop or dealership. I recently had engine work done, and trailered it down to Henderson.

Corey Henderson is the go to ZR-1 specialist here in Texas. He's the only guy I'll let touch my car.
