Default Checked it out

Minimal windshield delamination. Clean and clear. One minor window stone chip repaired.
Comes with one Clear Top that is perfect condition as is the Rear Lift glass.
No leaks coolant, oil, trans.
Appears antifreeze is the green antifreeze.
No body imperfections.
CD radio casette work great.
ALL Bose speakers worked with good sound.
Headlights swivel in and out of position perfectly.
Secondaries function perfectly with canister arms moving smoothly.
Vacuum system perfect with absolutely NO leakage.
Vacuum Pump comes on and then stays off for ever
Oil pressure about 50-60 lbs at hot idle.
Idles smoothly at 700-800 rpm reaching stabilized engine temperature of 188 deg F and holding (60 deg ambient).
Clean unmodified stock engine with NO fresh oil leaks seen.
The engine has some old dust/oil accumulation on front cover.
A good degreaser followed by pressure wash would clean that Front Cover/Water Pump up.
Climate Control functions perfectly while viewing engine digital temps.
Shifts easy in all gears moving forward and in reverse but did not take it for drive (Ben already did that).
Passed CA smog.
Original air induction and intake manifold including CATS in place.
Mileage is correct 44,500 more or less.
Climate Control Fan works at all speeds.
No Check Engine Lights although Ride Control came on and off once momentarily (that is NOT an issue).
AC blows cold.

ZR1 is lowered about one inch.
Tire wear is even on all four tires with good tread remaining.

Out of four ZR1s I have bought, this one has the least issues (none) of any of them.
This ZR1 is black/black.
Interior has minimal to no wear.

I would describe this ZR1 as 9.5 out of 10.
I am surprised some CA Boy/gal did not just jump in and drive it home
If it were Bright Red with Saddle interior....I Would Have

A Molds are cool, but I think I need to get to know the girl before I start making changes.

Default Removing the Plenum Under After Dark

Ya.......that is for sure

It was fun under the flood lights on a side street. I brought "some" tools with the Flood Lights.

Had to get an extra Fuel Rail since the issue was the Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Regulator.

We did a little quick Plenum removal (the 12 minute version as your TB Coolant is Intact)

And to add to the inspection...you do NOT have to remove the Plenum for anything that I can imagine as it is pretty clean under the Plenum and all plug wires, injectors, coils, vacuum lines, fuel pressure regulator are in good shape and.............starter starts the LT5 EVERY TIME.

But you might change fluids albeit the Oil is looking very clear and clean and you have good antifreeze with a bit of added Distilled Water. LT5/ZR-1 Fluids

Runs/idles perfectly and at about 188 deg F

Default My Most Sincere Thank You!

ZR1 Loyalists:

I am in process of penning a mini series post involving a buyer, seller and a hero named Cliff aka Dynomite. At this point I would be remiss in not shouting out a massive THANK YOU to Cliff AKA Dynomite AKA the LONE RANGER!

The tale I am weaving is one of massive stupidity(me), massive patience and understanding(buyer novetteyet13), and save the day greatness(dynomite).

The ensemble was up against many odds including acts of GOD, timing, distress and mechanical prowess.

The entire cast acted flawlessly, decisively and willingly. A truly riveting tale that will spark amazement and wonder in readers minds.

More to come.............

Mike
