Default adding a shift light

where is the easiest place to wire in the shift light on the 92 zr1

I believe that there is already a "shift" spot in the cluster. That would be MY "OEM looking" choice.

The ignition DIAG connector by the firewall can be used to "plug n play" a shift light. My Raptor is mounted on the A pillar.

Another popular alternative is hiding it in the AC vent. Access to the tach wiring is on the C100 connector (I have a 90, so I'll refrain from specifying which pin and refer you to your FSM)

Pictured is the Raptor light running through its initial start-up test routine, hidden in the AC grill. It is all but invisible until it is triggered, and then it is so bright that you don't need to take your eyes off the road to see it!
