It is 368 CI as are 2 other cars, there was one 385 ci car which Will B has. Paul had a 150 shot of nitrous on it to try and keep rpms up during the shift. Did not work too well which prompted the auto trans.

Does anybody know what it should have been capable of running the 1/4 in?
I am going to the 1/4 mile calculator and see what the numbers say for 850 hp and 3600 lbs assuming a 200 lb driver included.
It came out to 137 mph... high 9 low 10 second run capability depending on the 60 ft is my best guess.
Here is the link I mentioned.

In 2000 at BG that car ran a 9.8 with John L. coming out easy. I don't recall the MPH exactly. But the MPH was a VERY impressive number for the ET. Can we say mega horsepower ?
Phil DeJohn introduced me to John Lingenfelter at the track when this car was being tested in 2000. John was having a little trouble controlling the boost as I recall.

Norm's car cracked 9.8s with John L driving. some of the most amazing driving I've ever seen by none other than John L himself.
when Graham Norm and I were drinking in the bar (alot) the last time Graham ran Norm's TT, we were all mourning John L's passing, and Graham was a bit upset that he couldn't quite run a 9.8 with the same car. He wanted to match John L's time but with the scant traction, it's tough. Graham I honestly think the track was prepped a bit better for John L. or you would have gotten Norm's car there!!!
he was a bit upset, but John L truely was a "no lift" driver and it his times were always tough to beat
my favorite runs were watching Fastlane and Norm's cars cracking 9s
not exactly easy with a ZR-1
man I wish I had the coin for this. I would trade the world for this car and I'd even fix the ashtray!

I'd love to own it, but that automatic has got to go. It's not a competitive 1/4 mi. car, (never was), so why not return it to a stock 6 spd. so you can use it as a ZR-1 was intended.
It looks like such a pristine C4, what a nice surprise for spanking late model hotshots on the street.
I doubt it will bring near $65K, even though it's the #1 Lingenfelter ZR-1 twin turbo. For my money, I'd much prefer Jim's white 415 beastie, in it's lightweight trim from 15 yrs. ago:
