Selling My White '91 Z to Carmax
Today I drove my Z to carmax for n appraisal - they made an offer of $13,000. The appraiser was very impressed with the condition and the mileage, but had a very hard time trying to ascertain a valuation. Anyway to make a long story short I will be selling it to them because I just don't drive it enough. If anyone here wants it, you need to better that price and provide a smooth sales transaction. Here are the details pertaining to my car:
White exterior/Gray interior
37K Miles
Corsa Exhausts
Nice inside and out (pictures available on request). Also I have the appraisal from carmax available.

PS, this is a documented 1 owner car - you don't see that very often with these cars.

If Carmax will give you $13k, then you should try to sell it for $16k straight up. It'll likely fly off the forum.
If I had the garage space I'd make the offer right now, but my wife and I already park outside so the two vettes can have the garage.....
I have a 92 and 88 already so my wife is a keeper. Third though? Even though it's a Z I bet she would kill me. lol

I appreciate the input, but I've tried to offer it for sale before - all I draw are very strange clowns trying to low-ball me. It's odd how I have people tell me how impressed they are with the car on the forum and in person, but yet nobody makes a move unless they get it for a steal. The best one yet was some freak that keeps emailing me every 3 months for 3 years saying he wants to buy it - I'm so done with these nut-jobs. I wanted to buy a newer vette, that's the only reason I'm selling it. I'll place it on CL for one last time but I have 6 days to sell it - on that last day its sold to CARMAX.

I have sold cars through forums before, but it was a regional one so it was really more of a local sale. I would not even put it here. Most people use CL, ebay or autotrader when they are doing a national or regional search. A lot of east coast people might be interested, but the cost of the logistics eliminates most people from taking action.
mostly your timing is bad. I would have jumped all over your car, but i had purchased mine 6 months before you thru out your first inquiry/teaser to sell it. Also, we both live in very expensive housing markets and finding a cash buyer for an antique toy is challenging. C4's often take 90 days to sell.

I just shipped my Camaro here from So Cal....$1800 enclosed, and it was here 4 days after they picked it up.
Add that to the new GA title tax, and that's why it's not in my garage now.

It's a SIN not to drive that car! There's a special place in hell for people like that. Sell it to me for $1.00 and I will drive it like I stole it!
