Default Playing with 911 Turbo S

I took the beast for a test run after fixing the cam sensor, and wouldn't you know it there was a 911 turbo S probably a 997 just ahead of me. I have to say I thought he would walk away from the old Z but, nay nay, he could not shake me and I kept pulling up him after a 6000rpm. To busy on the road to really play though. But the few short burst were fun. I'm impressed with the old girl.

Turbo cars are a risky race if they are at all modified. I've been toasted by 3 cars that were forced induction and none of them were less than 550whp either.

No kidding I have been spanked by those before. I was surprised about this one maybe an inexperienced driver?

Years ago I had fun with a 425 hp 911 that had a full factory aero package on it. It was pretty even especially at the higher speeds. He commented later on the side of the road that my ZR-1 was the first he had ever encountered and was suprised at how well it did.

I broke a friend's heart a couple weeks ago. He bought himself an 01 911 Carrera for his birthday. Nice car, low miles but nowhere as near as fast as he thought it was ... in comparison to my ZR-1. To be honest, I thought things might be closer but I guess not being AWD hurt him substantially.

Ran with one of those yrs ago, close on a straight but on a curve the Porsche had it hands down, near disaster trying to keep up.

997 TT-Ss trap nearly 130 stock--so he was probably just playing around ;-)
