Default 1995 exhaust

Are ZR1 stock exhaust like a LT-1/4 system? Will they interchange?

Thanks

They're NOT the same, they are similar in construction but the resonator inlet pipes are different dimensionally.

If a person had an LT4 system that they wanted to use on a ZR-1 it could be accomplished by a competent fabricator. There would be no reason to consider an LT1 system from any year.

An LT5 to an LT1 could be accomplished also but not direct fit.

Not considering dimensions, will the lt1/4 system bolt in place without modifying it? Are the attaching points to the cats the same?

Thanks

NO to both of your questions - dimensionally includes all of the specifics with the length and contour of the inlets to resonator being different. The hangers at the transmission mounting point and all of the rest of the hangers will work.

LT4 - RH is slip-fit and LH is 3 bolt ball seal.

I don't recall the exact difference in the lengths but I don't believe it could be accomplished by just removing length. I believe I have a set of LT1 & LT5 inlet pipes for an LT5 with a Power Effect system that I should be able to compare. I've had my hands on the LT5 pipes recently but not the LT1 pipes. I'll look.

What are you attempting to do? Sell the LT4 or put it on an LT5 car of your own OR trying to fit an LT5 system to your car maybe?

Actually need a stock system for an 95 Z. Just thought if they were the same it would be easier to find.
Thanks

I would think that shopping for a '93+ exhaust would be just as easy. There's certainly a good many in Texas and you might either find someone whose wanting maybe an after-market or someone that has his removed and standing against the wall.

Do you have something on it now that would be available for a trade? Does your car have headers presently or just the factory manifolds and converters?

I'd start a new post here in this ZR-1 section mentioning WTT - Borla for stock and maybe a couple snapshots.

I'd also make it a point to mention the same over here:
