Default Red/Grey early production 90' ZR-1 updated ad and pics $11,000!!!!!

Hello Corvette Forum, yes this is the same high mileage red/grey 1990 ZR-1 that has been for sale on here. I decided to make a new ad with updated information and pictures.

Let's start off with the history. I have owned this ZR-1 for about three months now. I took it in on trade with the intent to sell it to get into what I really want, a C5Z or a 1st gen Cadillac CTS-V. I have ran around 4 tanks of gas through the car scooting around to local car shows this summer and have had an absolute blast! Vette has performed absolutely flawlessly and if it werent for the odometer reading 102,000 miles you wouldnt have a clue from outside the car or even riding in or driving it. It really has been upkept that nicely. Since I took it in on trade, I unfortunately don't have many specifics on the maintenance history of the vehicle. I am confident that the vehicle performs exactly as it should and all of the major components function properly. However, just to be sure I had the vette inspected by Haibeck Automotive (the nations ZR1 specialist) on Friday, July 31st. Was about an hour drive from me and boy were those long sweeping on/off ramps lots of fun with the suspension locked down in sport mode!

Marc Haibeck gave the ZR-1 a thorough inspection and was able to tell me much much more information about the car than I ever would have known. This car is an early production unit, #243 off of the assembly line. Car has stronger steel axles and other assorted small odds and ends specific to the real early production models. Now let's get to the inspection goodies. The engine, transmission, clutch, and ride control system are all in great operating order. Marc guessed clutch life to be at about 70%. Vehicle has upgraded Accel injectors, headlight motors have been rebuilt, all zones of lumbar support work in both seats, 3rd brake light is operational, radio works but a couple speakers need rebuilt or replaced. Important part is the main radio brain box (big dollar item) is functioning and the speakers are a cheap fix. Vette has newer shock absorbers and coolant hoses, Marc also noticed the radiator had recently been removed, assumably to flush the radiator as they should be around every 50,000 miles. The point of this paragraph is to emphasize that yes the vette has miles, but someone who knows these cars had been maintaining it properly to ensure it lasts for years to come. Windshield shows absolutely no signs of delamination!

Downsides-
This is a 25 year old sports car with 102 thousand miles on it, not everything is going to be 100%. The main negative is the fuel level gauge is unoperational and it always displays empty. No big deal to me, I just reset the trip whenever I filled up. Marc however did tell me that the sending unit is no big deal to replace, the tank does not need to be dropped and you could do the job yourself in 1-2 hours. The vehicles information display center has two lights that are unoperational, the airbag error light and "full engine power" have both been removed. Whoever removed the bulbs from behind the panel was kind enough to leave them in the center console. Cigarette lighter does not produce power and the VATS system has been bypassed, common occurrences for these cars with mileage. Overall not bad at all for a corvette with 102,000 miles on it, all the main systems function 100% and you could hop in today and drive cross country with no hesitations. Marc was very very impressed with how tight and relatively rattle free the car was considering the mileage, and it pulled just like a 375HP LT5 engine should!

Modifications-
-Flowmaster cat back exhaust
-aftermarket airbox lid
-The ZR-1 does have a tune in it, the factory skip shift and shift light is eliminated and it is running a few more degrees of ignition timing compared to stock. Sounds just like the tune described on Haibecks website.
-Headlights have been upgraded to very bright LED lights with functioning brights
-Side marker lights have been replaced with LED's as well
-Radar detectors front and rear
-Nitto NT555R drag radials with a decent amount of tread left. I have bought a couple new sets of 315/35 radials for other vehicles i've owned and even brand new they don't have too much more tread than these do.

I'm sure i'm forgetting plenty of things, but I hope this addresses some of the questions i've been getting lately. I would be more than happy to forward anyone Haibecks inspection report, it is a .pdf file. He also said he would take a couple minutes to talk to any interested parties on the phone just to verify I was there and the condition of the car, but let's please save the mans time for if you're very serious about buying.

The paint quality is pretty good, since I finished up 3 stages of wax on the car there are some rock chips that are more evident than before on the front bumper, but nothing grotesque or out out place. One small chip at the very front of the hood and one rub mark below the passenger mirror, that's really about it. Some swirls on rear fender by fuel door the wax didnt remove but i'm sure they will come out. Interior is in excellent condition, some wear on the seat bolsters, cup holders and radio buttons, but again considering the age and mileage it is incredibly impressive. The car previously had a roll bar installed that has been removed before I got it. You wouldnt even know unless it was pointed out, scroll down for pictures. Marc assumed the car started life as a magazine test car or something of the sort, as most all early production ZR-1's did.

If you've made it this far into the ad and are still interested, great! I have found a 1st gen V i'd like to purchase and will take $10,500 CASH for this excellent conditon ZR1 until sunday the 16th then the price is back to $11,000 firm. Clean title in hand in my name. I am located in McHenry, IL 60051 on the IL/WI border. Can assist with delivery.

That's about all I can think of right now, please feel free to call/text me at 815-575-2761 to talk about the car. If I don't answer please leave a message and i'll get back to you. This car needs to be driven and enjoyed and someone will be very satisfied with it! I also have walkaround videos I can text/email to you.

Thanks, Kyle.

This is an assortment of pictures from over the time I have owned it, engine bay, interior carpets, etc have since all been cleaned and detailed.
